Books & Music
CDs for
Yoga
Every time I play this music
in my classes, someone always wants to know what it is
and how to get them.
|
Shamanic Dream, Anugama
This is a relaxed heartbeat drum rhythm accompanied by a
sacred mantra “So be it” that draws you deep into the healing
power of Mother Earth. |
|
|
Shamanic Dream II, Anugama
This is also a peaceful relaxation album that continues with a
relaxed heartbeat drum rhythm and with prayerful flute
melodies added. The two of these back-to-back lend for a
lovely afternoon or evening practice. |

Angel Love, Aeoliah This
CD is one of my all-time favorites. It has two long unbroken
tracks that are, soft, flowing, transportive, soundscapes of
pure bliss. Let this cd sooth away your stress, melt your mind
and lift you right out of your body...you won't be
disappointed! |

Sea & Silence, Deuter They
say that one does not merely hear Deuter’s music, one feels
it. This has to be my favorite one of his collection.

The Healing Flute, Werner John Werner
John on solo Native American flutes. This CD can calm the
nerves and slow the pace of life. The sound of his flutes is
rich and beautiful, the meditative improvisations serene and
deeply relaxing. Not available at Amazon, but you can order
from

The Essence, Deva Premal
Deva
is a
German-born vocalist. She
has the voice all singers aspire to: pure and warmly resonant,
with perfect enunciation.
Her music is smooth, silky, calming and peaceful. And her
version of the Gayatri Mantra is beautiful. I play her music
all the time in my yoga classes. |
|
|
Dakshina,
Deva Premal
Another beautiful offering from Deva Premal. The songs flow
together and build upon each other for an uplifting yoga and
meditation session. Her music is her meditation and is
always an inspiration. Dakshina picks you up and carries you
gently yet powerfully to deep inner realms...spiraling,
spiraling down to a space of incredible relaxation, silence,
and joy. This is my new favorite. |

Returning, Jennifer Berezan
I first heard this album while in my Reflexology class last
year. I went out and bought it immediately. It spoke to me
because of its beautiful blend of chanting, guitar, Tibetan
bell, crystal balls and drums. It is a long playing healing
chant to the Mother of Us All. It is recorded in the Oracle
Chamber in the Hypogeum at Hal Saflieni, Malta – one of the
oldest temples in a chamber created for sound. This music
will surely bring you into a meditative state of bliss. |
